What a picture! Is it sunk waaay down or is it sideways? It looks pretty with the leaves sprinkled around.
ReplyDeleteI think it was just placed like that as a memorial. It didn't look very old. Had no dates or anything. There was nothing on the other side, either. I can't decide what it's supposed to represent. Can you? Maybe a baby grand? Or a curvy lady?

ReplyDeleteI agree with you, Judith. I think it was placed like that as a memorial because the writing is so close to the top of the stone. If it were a headstone the writing would be a bit lower, wouldn't it? . . . and also since it's in a "Historical Cemetery" perhaps it's replacing one that is missing or destroyed?
